K9 EXTREME UPHILL OBSTACLE COURSE
at Copper Mountain on Sunday, August 28, 2005
at 10:30 AM on the 2nd day of Dog Daze

Pre-registration accepted between August 6-August 22 only.  DO NOT CONFUSE THIS EVENT WITH THE CANINE 4K RACE registration!  This is the first year for this event, so if you're interested in proving how fast you & your mutt can run uphill between the Flyer & the Eagle lifts, then come out & show us.  Hopefully, the attendance will be good enough to make this an annual event & we'll have you fill out a short questionaire on your thoughts for 2006, including what obstacles you'd like to have.  All proceeds will benefit L.A.P.S.

Each paid entry will be eligible to win a grand prize from Copper Mt. but you must be present to win.  Prizes are awarded to top finishers in male/female & age categories and door prizes will be handed out throughout the event.
Registration forms can be downloaded or picked up at the Animal Shelter, Abbey's Coffee, The Barnyard, Breckenridge BARKery, Paws & Claws & Summit Feed after August 6.  DO NOT SEND IN PRE-REGISTRATIONS BEFORE AUGUST 6, so as not to mistakenly get entered into the Canine 4K instead!  Come to both!
The obstacle course will require a six foot leash for you or your dog and entrants will be timed.  If you encounter an obstacle that you feel you or your dog cannot complete, you do not have to do it, but extra time will be added to your overall time.  We've never tried something like this before, so please give us your opinions afterwards and we can make changes for next year!
This will be a fun learning experience for all of us.  To find out more about the entire weekend of doggie events, click on the link below that takes you to our registration forms & you can get the link for the schedule of events.
